Dandy Diamond
~1962? to 28 December 2008~

Don't mourn for me
Dear owner, kind and true.
I know that you will miss me
As I will also think of you.
We shared so many secrets;
those you whispered in my ear.
I've kept those secrets for you
lest anyone would hear.
And in return you've kept me
from being turned out in the cold.
You've fed, watered, and cared for me
while we both grew old.
But God had called and needs me;
He says that it is time
I claim that sweet reward
in a kinder, greener clime.
He promises sweeter clover,
clear water, rich and pure.
I'll never have to suffer
from wounds that humans cannot cure.
I'll romp and play all day
with others he has called hither.
I'll have so many new friends
that will scratch upon my wither.
I'll be watching out for you
when comes your judgment day
and together towards the pearly gates
we again will ride away!

Silver Angel: ANDY B. GONZALES - Dreams on Glass of El Paso, TX was DIAMOND'S Guardian Angel from May 2003 until December 2008. Thank you so much, Andy!
June 2000
DANDY DIAMOND was donated when his owners could no longer care for him. He is well into his 30s. He has frequent colics and the vet suspects cancer of the intestines. But he is gaining weight and feeling well most of the time.
01 December 2000
DIAMOND is doing extremely well. All colics have stopped, he gained a lot of weight and is full of life now. We are so happy. But due to his age and uncertain health, Diamond is not available for placement.
25 June 2002
Diamond lost his best friend, Geronimo a couple of weeks ago. Diamond is mourning and refuses to eat. We are offering all of his favorites, but he is too sad to eat ...
22 July 2002
Diamond made friends with Star and is now back to his old self. Eating, playing, spending his days hanging out with Star. We are very happy!!!
01 May 2003
Diamond has found a sponsor!!! Thank you so much Andy!
20 February 2005
Diamond continues to enjoy life and spends his days with his love Star. Even though he has the occasional *belly ache* he is going as strong as ever. We are hoping for many more years with our special boy.
10 September 2006
Even though Diamond is estimated to be around 40 years old, he is enjoying life to the fullest. He has the occasional bad day and his weight fluctuates up and down, but he appears happy and relatively pain free.
