Policy

Procedure
When fostering out animals the following procedures will be followed:

For out of state fostering, where an inspection cannot be performed, pictures of the property where the animal(s) will live, as well as references are required. In case of long term fostering, a yearly vet statement is requiered as well.

8) Fosterer will treat the animal according to humane standards, care for, provide companionship, train and rehabilitate the animal if necessary and will make the animal available for inspection when requested.
9) When possible, foster home will work with Perfect Harmony’s veterinarian and farrier.
10) Foster home must submit a monthly report, either by phone, letter or e-mail, on the animal’s progress.
11) Once animal is ready for placement, foster home shall have first choice of adding the animal as a permanent member to their family. All regular placement procedures must be followed.
