Indio is 27 year old Appaloosa with a huge tumor on his penis. Our vet asked us to take him after she was called to look at him. The livestock inspector gave the owner a choice of surrendering Indio to Perfect Harmony or face prosecution. The owner signed Indio over to the rescue. We are unsure if we can help this boy. The tumor is extremely large and Indio is very thin. For the time being we are trying to put some weight on him before our vet attempts to remove the tumor. There is a chance that Indio will not survive the surgery ...

Indio's surgery is scheduled for Tuesday, November 24. Indio's needs lots of prayers ....

Indio's surgery went great and he is doing amazingly well. Most of the tumor was removed. A very small part of the tumor could not be removed. The good news is that the tumor was *only* on his sheath, his penis was not affected. See pictures above
