LITTLE BIT OF HARMONY is a shetland pony. He was sentenced to death when he was only three days old. His owners got fly-wipe in his eyes (which almost completely blinded him), and wanted to have him euthanized. But our vet knew we would take him and brought LITTLE BIT to us. He was tiny -- only 28 pounds. His eyes had to stay sutured closed for the first 3 weeks he was here. We bottle raised him and he is spoiled rotten. He has maybe 20% sight in his left eye and is completely blind in his right eye. But you could never tell. He is just like any other foal, very playful and a little devil.

Sadly, Little Bit foundered after being fed tortillas (by strangers) through the fence. He is improving and doing quite well.

18 September 2009 Little Bit is still dealing with chronic laminitis. For the most part he is doing very well and is very playful. He loves playing with Ace and hanging out with the big horses.
