This little boy was part of a larger "lot" being sold to a feedlot. His luck changed and he came home with us. He already has a home waiting for him!!!!

03 NOVEMBER 2002
ADOPTED!
RIO was adopted and will be leaving for his new home very shortly.

11 JANUARY 2003
RIO was returned to us today. He is now, once again looking for a home of his own.

25 JANUARY 2003
RIO has found a new home. We hope and pray that this is it for the little guy and he can finally settle down and be the horse he is supposed to be.

20 FEBRUARY 2003
Once again, RIO'S adoption failed. This latest attempt was a huge disaster. We have now decided to work with RIO ourselves and get him halter trained, gelded...RIO will then be available for placement once again.

20 MAY 2003
RIO was gelded today, had his much too long feet trimmed, was vaccinated and coggins pulled. We have been working with him and he has come a long, long way. He is a very sweet guy, but still afraid at times. RIO will be ready for placement within the next couple of months. We are looking for a home with training experience.

Was finally placed into a permanent home where he is doing extremely well.
