Two souls sat at heavens gate
When one was called away,
Both were sad to part at last,
But one did stop and say,

"We'll meet again on Earth,
We'll be friends again, You'll see!"
"But how will I know it's you?" Said other,
"How will you know it's me?"

"The only thing you need to do,
is look into my eyes
You'll know me as friend,
For I shall never lie."

"I shall stand by you for always,
My loyalty will never fail.
I will walk beside you calmly,
'til I am old and frail."

"I'll carry you to triumph,
Together we'll know loss,
I'll always be yours only,
I'll let you be the boss."

"Though I'll be large and strong,
And could easily have my way,
I follow you forever,
From morn 'til end of day."
