Taffy Sue

As my candle, burning bright
Sends shadows off on this dark night
It offers peace, and hope and love
To the horses dancing up above.
My prayers and thoughts will help them find
Beloved friends they left behind.
So they may comfort us in turn,
And thus it is my candle burns.
With quiet tears, lovingly shed
I hear the horses, overhead.
Their pounding hooves are thunder stirred,
For another friend has joined the herd.

Taffy Sue was donated to a therapeutic riding center, with the agreement that she would be returned to her former owner if Taffy could no longer be used in the program. Sadly, the center did not honor this agreement and Taffy was given away. Luckily for Taffy, she was given to a wonderful, caring person who donated Taffy to us. After seeing Taffy Sue's picture on our website, Mila Galipolli (Taffy's original owner) contacted us. It was decided that the only right thing to do, was to transfer ownership of Taffy Sue back to Mila ... Taffy went home to Mila on 17 September 2005.

Taffy Sue was donated by her loving owner to assure Taffy's safety. Taffy is in foster care in Albuquerque at this time. Thank you, Valerie!

Taffy arrived at the rescue today. She is in perfect condition thanks to the excellent care provided by her foster home. Thank you again, Valerie!

Due to personal circumstances, Taffy's owner had to return her to the rescue. Due to Taffy's age she will stay in our care and is not available for placement
